Construction has officially begun on CS Square’s extension, CS Hub – a brand new retail and commercial office precinct running along Lake Street and Commercial Road, Caroline Springs.

263 William St, Melbourne - the home of the newly designed commercial tower and rejuvenated Metropolitan Hotel - has marked a construction milestone with its topping-out ceremony held on Thursday 29th September 2022.

From 14 – 22 May, DeGroup’s Chief Operating Officer, Ben Delutis; participated in the 2022 Chain Reaction Charity Bike Ride to help raise funds for the Monash Children’s Hospital (MCH) and the Starlight Children’s Foundation (SCF).

CS Square is excited to welcome one of Australia’s most iconic retailers into the Centre. Kmart will be joining the Centre on Friday, 5 November; and will be the 325th store to open across Australia and New Zealand – and the 71st store opening for 2021.

Grocery behemoth Coles has sold a $33.3 million supermarket in regional Victoria to Colin De Lutis, a savvy private investor whose DeGroup recently splashed out $136.5 million buying another shopping centre from Lendlease. DeGroup has scooped up ASX-listed Cole’s 3780 square metre free-standing store in Woodend, north of Melbourne, paying a tight 4.31 per cent yield to snare the asset.

Private investor Colin DeLutis’ DeGroup has added to its growing shopping centre portfolio after buying Lendlease’s Caroline Springs mall in a $136.5 million deal. The purchase of CS Square, a 25,308 square metre hub with three supermarkets and discount department stores, on a yield of around 6 per cent sets a strong post-COVID benchmark for an asset class plagued by uncertainty.

Colin DeLutis’ DeGroup has announced a $40 million retail development project in Sorrento, as work from home trends drive growth in beachside locations. The development, purchased by DeGroup in 2016 for $11.4 million, will be located at 80-98 Ocean Beach Rd, in the Mornington Peninsula town of Sorrento. Comprised of 2000sqm of retail space totalling nine stores including two showrooms and 80 rooftop car spaces, addressing the Victorian town’s limited parking.

Developer Colin DeLutis is defying the work-from-home trend emptying COVID-hit city offices and pushing ahead with construction of a skinny $70 million tower in the heart of Melbourne’s legal precinct on the site of the old Metropolitan Hotel. In a month’s time, Mr DeLutis’ company DeGroup expects to start construction on a 20-storey complex at 263 William Street on a speculative basis without pre-committing tenants to the building’s 7013 square metres of gross leasing area.

Despite rising vacancies and shrinking demand, DeGroup is developing a $70 million office building in Melbourne’s CBD. The building, to be developed on 263 William St in the middle of the legal precinct, will be 20 storeys and 75 metres above the Metropolitan Hotel. It will be comprised of 7,013 sqm gross leasable area, 3,799 sqm of which will be office space over 17 floors.
